Romantic hotels in Paris are plenty!
We know what you may be thinking: all Paris hotels are created equal. While yes, many share stunning views, romantic atmospheres, and incredible food, you’re going to want to pick a hotel that speaks to you, your personality, and the love you share with your bride to be or beau.
For example, if you like to look for unique, high-end places to stay, you probably have thought about spending your wedding night at the Ritz
“When I dream of afterlife in heaven, the action always takes place in the Paris Ritz,” as Hemingway would put it.
Luckily, our local knowledge has served us well and you won’t get stuck in a predicament –you have us at your disposal, and we’re sharing our six favorite spots for (almost) every personality and style.
1. The Shangri-La Hotel
Once the palace of Napoleon Bonaparte’s grand-nephew, Prince Roland Bonaparte, The Shangri-La Paris is the definition of Parisian elegance, infused with a celebration of the hotel’s Asian roots and dedication to hospitality.
We are always ohh and ahhing when we plan weddings here, and for good reason.
Overlooking the Seine River and the Eiffel Tower, the Shangri-La is a fierce contender for best hotel views in Paris. Booking a Terrace Eiffel View room will have you drinking champagne against the backdrop of La Tour Eiffel.
That’s not all, though. Don’t forget that their bar and restaurants, two of which have been awarded Michelin stars, have a wide variety of options for both the traditional and the adventurous palette.
And while you’re at it, Chi, The Spa has a divine swimming pool and spa menu (we’re thinking you’re going to want to try the Jet-Lag Rescue Massage!)
Here are a few images from weddings we have planned at The Shangri La Hotel
2. Hôtel Plaza Athénée
Simply put, Hôtel Plaza Athénée is for the fashionistas: the ones who find that romance goes hand in hand with the perfect red dress.
Sitting on Avenue Montaigne, Paris’ most famous avenue for luxury fashion and haute couture, you’re surrounded by years and years of fashion history; Dior himself was inspired by the women who frequented Hôtel Plaza Athénée. We don’t even need to mention that shops like Dior, Chanel and Prada are just a few doors down.
Boasting a romantic decor style with pops of deep fuchsia and gold, Hôtel Plaza Athénée is as chic as it gets. Book a room with an Avenue Montaigne view if you want to stare longingly at the shopping that awaits you. If you’re wanting something larger, we love the Eiffel Suite!
We can’t really think of another place with a restaurant that feels like you could possibly be on-location for a shoot with Vogue, or a spa that is literally called The Dior Institut.
3. The Ritz Paris
The Ritz. Need we say more? It’s the embodiment of Parisian timelessness and grace with an aristocratic air, sitting right in the center of Paris at the Place Vendôme.
For a more unique suite, enjoy a view of the beautiful Opéra Garnier in the Opera Suite, designed in the style of the Opera house itself. If you’re wanting the traditional Ritz Paris look, the Deluxe Suite is for you.
While you’re enjoying your stay, don’t forget to explore the Grand Jardin, take a dip in the gorgeous swimming pool, or get a massage de Chanel at the Ritz Club.
You’ll want to explore the numerous restaurants and bars at the Ritz; from afternoon tea and traditional brasserie cuisine to an art-deco speakeasy, be prepared to be dazzled by the culinary experiences that await you.
4. Hôtel de Crillon
Hôtel de Crillon truly blends modern elegance with the traditional as it sits proudly at the Place de la Concorde, facing the Assemblée Nationale and just steps away from the Jardin des Tuileries and the Champs-Élysées.
Reserve this Deluxe Suite for a sleek, modern, and refined take on Parisian accommodations. For a larger room in the same sleek style, reserve the Suite Bernstein, inspired by composer Leonard Bernstein, a frequent guest of the Crillon.
Feeling a new hair style? Visit the Hair Salon by David Lucas. Don’t forget to visit the spa and rejuvenate in the relaxation room while you’re at it.
Delicious dining awaits you at Hôtel de Crillon. Enjoy themed brunches, grab a pan au chocolate on your way out the door at the pastry boutique, or enjoy a sophisticated dinner amidst a refined and modern decor at L’Ecrin.
5. Four Seasons Hotel George V
Built in 1928 in the Art-Deco style of the decade, the Four Seasons is a snapshot of Paris in the heyday of Fitzgerald and Hemingway, with all the amenities of a modern-day hotel.
Wake up in the romantic Eiffel Tower Suite, the light-filled and spacious suite at the top of the Four Seasons that affords views of the entire city.
Take a dip in the pool or get a spa treatment for the both of you.
You’ll have plenty of options when it comes to dining; choose from the more modern and intimate restaurant L’Orangerie or the refined and timeless restaurant Le Cinq, with many others available.
6. Apart du Louvre
Craving a more intimate longterm stay? Looking for a more specialized and unique place? Look no further than Apart du Louvre for an apartment rental option. Choose from either two areas, St-Honoré just a few paces from the Louvre, or Le Marais, close to Centre Pompidou, Paris’ Museum of Modern Art.
Explore the array of modern and traditional apartments and duplexes available for rent amongst areas with some of the most beautiful views.
We love this duplex penthouse for a beautiful taste of life as a true Parisian. Or how about the elegant and refined “So Chic” apartment?
Whatever your taste may be, there’s a beautiful apartment waiting for you and is perfect for our families planning on vow-renewal ceremonies.
