What a meeting of hearts we’ve had at our recent wedding in Paris at the venue Chapelle Expiatoire planned by Elope in Paris and shot by Audrey from Le Secret D’Audrey. The gorgeous American couple ventured from Chicago to celebrate their love in the French capital with us.
Starting at the luxurious Shangri-La hotel – where we took the time to add many intricate details for the preparation shoot right up the intimate dinner back at the top chef restaurant L’Abeille.
The theme we created had much to do with the French heritage of one of the brides. So it was no surprise that we choose the Chapelle Expiatoire for its magnificent beauty but for its strong ties with Versailles and Marie Antoinette. Our violinist accompanied the ceremony with music in Cannon D and some instrumental from the Sophia Coppola Marie Antoinette Film.
The Shangri La hotel a five-star hotel in the prestigious 16th neighbourhood, is itself is also steeped in french culture having belonged to the Bonaparte family. This is one of the handful hotels where you can have an unblocked view of the Eiffel Tower. However, we also choose to use the beautiful seasonal gardens for the start of our photo session that then led us to Ile Saint Louis, The Seine River, and through the Tuileries garden.
“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication”
…and we decided to keep things very clean and minimalist with touches of blush and peach.
All to blending well with the custom-made dress.
How divine are these Manolo Blahnik blue velvet Heels?
Lots of love to these two women from our team – what pleasure to have planned our first same-sex marriage here in Paris in such high style and in such awesome energy!
So much fun and laughs were had on a memorable day!
Bisous xoxo
