I know it can be hard to talk about racism, especially in a professional setting as this agency blog. However, we should not have to even talk about racism. Imagine a world where we are judged to be less than someone else just by the color of our skin? This is the reality of our world, it’s a pity that we have to have these difficult images and conversations. But true healing and love come from the shadows of what we think we cannot face.
We are fearless lovers of life!
Now is our chance to stand up for each other, to really show the beauty of our souls, our courage and the fire within our hearts to open to a bigger love of humanity. To stay silent is complicit.
Every life matters yes, but we have to be honest and say that Black Lives Matter because not every life is constantly been killed and told they don’t matter like black and non-white lives.
This is our chance to do better; as a whole, let us be the generation that moves us closer to end racism.
George Floyd is a man, a human being killed and treated in such an inhumane way that I can’t watch that video without bawling my eyes out.
My heart hurts because I know what it’s like to experience racism, micro, and macro racism. So much racism that sometimes to even keep moving forward you have to choose your battles. It’s tiring and I’m tired.
I have hope is us though! Keep speaking up, keep surviving the discomfort of being white, and having to tell someone they are racist: even if it’s to say “this is really offensive” – you did good!
