Paris– simply the name conjures up images of lovers, romance, beauty and passion. No other city has been so adored, or admired than Paris, a beacon for lovers over the centuries. 1. Stroll the secret ‘Galeries’ of Paris
These beautiful covered passage ways originally protected the 19th century bourgeoisie from the weather whilst shopping. Hosting numerous antique shops, art galleries and fine food establishments you’ll no doubt find something special for your significant other while you marvel at the glorious architecture. Galerie Vivienne and Passage du Grand-Cerf are the best.

2. Enjoy a spectacle at Palais Garnier
If you’re a fan of the opera or ballet the Palais Garnier is a must. Catch a performance in this splendid building, the architecture itself is orchestrated to absolute perfection and opulence. A truly remarkable and breathtaking experience to share with a lover. The striking ceiling was painted by Marc Chagall (don’t worry the original is underneath). The tragic classic La Traviata is on show for the 2015/16 season.

3. Soak in the sun at Jardin du Luxembourg
Exploring the many charming streets and monuments of Paris can get exhausting. Take some time out to watch the world go by in the manicured lawns and flowers beds of the Jardin du Luxembourg. Grab a pastry from a local boulangerie and enjoy the sun’s rays on a sleepy afternoon.

4. Have dinner at restaurant Matière à
Located in the trendy canal St Martin area Matière à is a cosy restaurant with a capacity of only 14. Here you’ll only find Parisians and an intense appreciation for cuisine, diners share a large wooden table adding to the communal and relaxed atmosphere. Authentically French but also innovative and new, the food here is simply divine.

5. French wine at La Cave de Belleville
This newly opened wine bar is a perfect way to enjoy a romantic night in Paris. An abundance of wine lines the wall and the price is charmingly written on the bottle. Ask the friendly staff for recommendations and spend the night huddled around a candle lit table sipping on a glass. You’ll quickly discover why France is the homeland of wine.
